For the second year in a row, both your girls and boys basketball teams have come away with District championships and are headed to their respective Nebraska State Basketball Tournament!
With the new NSAA District format and both teams being the higher seed in the matchup, both were able to punch their tickets to state in the comforts of their own gym.
In an ironic twist of fate, both teams also matched up against the Medicine Valley Raiders. The girls would punch their ticket to state first, with a 61-30 victory. The boys would follow up that performance with a 90-46 win of their own.
It's an exciting time to be a Bulldog! The girls head to state this Thursday to take on the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons in a rematch that the Bulldogs won earlier this year. The Bulldogs head into the tournament with the #2 overall seed. The boys will find out their seed and future opponent at a later date, as District matchups are still taking place tonight.
We will have a pep rally and send off for the girls Wednesday at 2:30 in the main gym of the high school. Come out and help us send the girls off as they chase a NSAA state title!
