Shelton Public Schools

The Junior High Track teams had busy week with TVC on Saturday and the Shelton Invite on Tuesday. Our leader of the week is Emily Jovel Martinez. Emily is a hard worker, honest, and always respectful! She encourages teammates and pushes herself to be her best at practices and meets. (Picture 1) Our Female Athlete of the week is Quynn Andrews. Quynn had two great meets in a row and set new TVC meet records in the 800 and 1600. (Picture 1) Steele McKinley is our male athlete of the week. Steele won 7 of his 8 events across the two track meets. He scored 78 team points in the two track meets combined. (Picture 1) The Boys team walked away from the Shelton Junior Invite as Champions! (Picture 2) The girls team tied for 3rd place! Both teams accomplished their team goal. The Junior high athletes earned so many medalists at the Shelton invite! We were once again very proud of the students performances and behavior. The kids represented Shelton in the best way. (Picture 3) We had many new personal records set at the Shelton invite!
