Congratulations to these outstanding students on being recognized as our PUPS of the Week! 🐾🎉

Each week, we celebrate students who demonstrate what it truly means to be a Shelton Bulldog. Whether it’s showing positive attitudes, demonstrating responsibility, putting forth extra effort in the classroom, or being kind and respectful to others, these students are leading by example.

Being a PUPS of the Week recipient isn’t just about one great moment — it reflects consistent character, hard work, and a commitment to doing the right thing even when no one is watching. We are incredibly proud of the way these students represent our school each and every day.

As we move into the final stretch of the school year, the message across our building is clear: Shelton Bulldogs are focused on finishing strong. 💪📚 We are committed to giving our best effort academically, making positive choices, supporting one another, and continuing to grow as learners and leaders.

Keep up the great work, Bulldogs! Let’s continue to show what it means to be respectful, responsible, and ready to succeed as we close out the year strong. 🐶🔥

The Nebraska Safety Center is NOT able to offer an in-person driver education class at Shelton High School this summer due to a shortage of instructors.

The options for your students are to take an in-person class at another location in the area such as Kearney, Wood River or Grand Island. Students also have the option to take an online class and drive following completion of the coursework. For more detailed information, please visit our website: www.unk.edu/dred

2nd graders enjoyed a fun filled day at Rowe Sanctuary and the Archway monument! We spent the morning learning about Sandhill Cranes and finished the day going back in time to explore the Oregon Trail and other topics related to westward expansion. Lots of learning and memories!

Our freshmen Intro to Ag students have some adorable new classmates! As part of our recent poultry unit, the class successfully hatched four baby chicks, bringing their lessons to life! Students monitored the incubator, learning about the 21-day cycle and the stages of development! They also studied flock health and management! The chicks will be in the Ag room for a few more days before heading to their permanent home!

It may have been a short week, but it was big on fun! 🎩✨ We had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss with wacky dress-up days, daily trivia, and our "Guess the Truffula Tree" challenge. A huge thank you to our high school guest readers for stopping by! We’re so grateful for the stories that make learning to read such an adventure. 📚❤️
